The 2020 FOURMEAUX Chardonnay is a seductive wine of incredible scale and energy. The nose is dripping with intoxicating aromas of apricot oil, yellow peach, almond croissant, and cardamom spice and a hint of lime sorbet. The palate is a satiny elixir of lemon confit and apple pie spice layered over a succulent core of white peach preserves. The finish is rich and luscious with an attractive texture and tension on the finish. This wine has a lot more to reveal over time and will age gracefully for well over a decade when properly cellared.
