Classic VGS Chardonnay: The color is a brilliant canary yellow with great clarity and vibrancy. Aromatically fresh pineapple, kiwi fruit, granny smith apple tart tatin and Asian pears dominate the bouquet with warm hints of white flowers and subtle elegant notes of toasty new French oak. In the mouth, racy acidity quickly presents itself making the wine fresh and crisp. This wine is stunning now, but in magnum, will age beautifully and has an extended drinking window until 2026.
Who says bigger isn't better...? Do not let the pale yellow color of this wine fool you. The bouquet moves from ruby red graperfruit to pineapple guava with an array of secondary aromas such as Asian pear, chamomile flower and kaffir lime leaf complete this layered bouquet. The mouthfeel is equally as complex but is fresh, restrained and elegant. We are absolutely thrilled with this vintage!
Our inaugural Fourmeaux Chardonnay vintage, and WOW this wine is delicious. From the famed Bacigalupi Vineyard in the Russian River Valley, this Chardonnay displays a balance of finesse and richness. Lower yields across the Russian River resulted in grapes with intense concentration and enticing phenolics. Flavors and aromas of lemon curd, caramelized pineapple and toasted coconut are intense but delighftul.
Dense and voluptuous, the 2015 VGS Cabernet Sauvignon is tremendous. A cool spring lead to a much smaller crop, however, the quality is absolutely outstanding. Complex aromas of lavendar, tahitian vanilla, freshly picked blackberries and cassis. An opulent palate, which is layered and intense, yet delicate. Loaded with flavors of black currant, cardamom and mexican chocolate. The tannins are present but integrated. Approacheable now, this magnum will cellar well into the 2020's.
